FELLOWSHIP
Anjan Chakraverty was awarded a Research Fellowship by the Nehru Trust and the Victoria & Albert Museum to work on the Shikargah motif in the painting and textiles of Mughal India.
PUBLICATIONS
He authored Indian Miniature Painting (eds. 1996, 2005) and Sacred Buddhist Painting (eds. 1988, 2006).
MONOGRAPH & HONOURS
On the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of Handicrafts Resurgence in 2002, his monograph on Ali Hasan: The Master Naqshaband of Banaras Brocades, published by the Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, was released by the President of India.
RECENT WORK
Most recently, he published Krishna in Indian Miniature Painting: Folios from Important Collections (2018) and Chitra Seva: Drawings by the Master Painters of Nathadwara (2023) at the Kiran Nadar Museum, New Delhi.
ONGOING RESEARCH
He has contributed significantly to auction catalogues and published articles in leading journals. His ongoing study focuses on Indian painting and brocaded textiles of the 18th and 19th centuries.
